Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you and your family well as we begin another exciting school year. To ensure the safety of all students and maintain the integrity of our instructional time, the district is implementing a new procedure regarding early student check-outs. Beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2025, no student check-outs will be permitted after 2:00 p.m. at any of our schools.

This change is being made to reduce disruptions during the critical last period of the school day and to help ensure that our dismissal procedures run smoothly and safely. We ask that you make any necessary appointments or transportation arrangements with this new policy in mind.

We understand that emergencies do happen, and in those rare cases, schools will continue to work with families on an individual basis. However, routine early check-outs after 2:00 p.m. will no longer be allowed.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in creating a focused and safe learning environment for all students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact your child's school office.

Sincerely,

Dr. Stanley K. Ellis
Interim Superintendent
Humphreys County School District
