HCSD and GACFHC

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Humphreys County School District is pleased to announce a new partnership with G. A. Carmichael Family Health Center, Inc. to expand student access to important healthcare services across the district. This partnership is established through a Memorandum of Understanding designed to support the health, wellness, and overall success of HCSD students.

Through this partnership, students will have access to a range of healthcare services, including primary and preventive care, sport physicals, hearing and vision screenings, dental services, health education, case management, nutrition education, and behavioral health and counseling support. The agreement also allows for access to telehealth services and referral arrangements for additional care when needed.

Services will be available to students at Ida Greene Elementary School, O.M. McNair Middle School, and Humphreys County High School, helping ensure that families have greater access to age-appropriate healthcare resources in a school-based setting. The partnership also outlines collaboration between the district and the health center to assist with referrals, student registration, scheduling appointments, and providing appropriate facilities to support services.

Humphreys County School District remains committed to supporting the whole child by removing barriers that may impact student learning and well-being. We are excited about the positive impact this partnership will have on our students, families, and school community.
